We love their Bowl of Soul but we haven’t been able to get back to Boise for awhile so I am going to use this to make it for us tonight to get us through the super cold weather we are getting later today and tonight. 😀🥰🙌Suzanne Maynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2173268137345629840.post-84420190451117761512020-12-06T07:51:38.784-08:002020-12-06T07:51:38.784-08:00Yes, I woke up this morning craving this cleverly ...Yes, I woke up this morning craving this cleverly named coffee. I remember in my delinquent youth stumbling around Ketchum for a season when I was 16 (1995) and somehow always finding the 2-3 bucks so I could somehow infuse more of the aptly named beverage. Not sure if that little shack was the same Java as I know today when I pass through Twin Falls to visit family and friends or not but quite sure it is since I think I remember it next to the Keith Rickards on the sign.. Fast forward a couple decades and now I'm here ready to figure out how to whip my own thick cream and seek out the best Mexican cocoa. And thanks Nicole on comments - how could I forget those bowls they were served in. A quick note to you for future recipes: as a reader, it is confusing to read "teaspoon " abbreviated as Tsp. Normally you don't capitalize the t. Better to use tsp and Tblsp or, even faster T. and t. for tablespoon and teaspoon. Like you, this drink has made an indelible mark on my memory. I last had one in 1994 and have never forgotten it. Also of note are the awesome cups that the drink is served in. I have always wanted to make my own pottery to replicate Java's bowls: a bowl of coffee with a lip - how cool. Thanks for validating my memory - I guess I'm not the only one who wants to go back to Idaho for the coffee first.Nicole Barkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18069194122884983850noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2173268137345629840.post-2611937790310942382009-11-19T19:27:01.103-08:002009-11-19T19:27:01.103-08:00Wonderful post. Hawaii has sand, sun and lot's of fun but nothing compares to curling up with a book and a Bowl of Soul. Thanks for the Recipe. I tried making one from taste tonight, it was good but not the same. I'll try this recipe next time. Thanks also for capturing the whole Bowl of Story experience.
